About the Podcast

Pictures Out There!
Martin Luther King, Jr., John F. Kennedy, Malala Yousafzai, Greta Thunberg, Cesar Chavez, John Lennon and Yoko Ono... Why do we remember their words so well? And why do they resonate with many of us over long periods of time? A common thread is that they each effectively have ‘painted’ bold and audacious Pictures of a future of possibilities and hope, of a promising tomorrow that inspires each of us to take action. “Pictures Out There!” explores the opportunities we all have every day to ambitiously create our own Pictures of the future that will effectively inspire us to act toward the world of our dreams.

In our ever-accelerating world, having clear Pictures of our most desired future is a compass and motivator that can maximize our own happiness and success with ourselves, with our relationships or groups, and with our impact on society.

“Pictures” are vivid descriptions of the future we create that can set us on the journey of our boldest dreams, and that can make the world a much better place when we act upon our Pictures and share them with others.

To demonstrate the magnitude and power of the Pictures concept, we present our own Pictures of a better future on these important, enormous global social issues: money and materialism, spirituality and religion, our bodies and physical selves, artificial intelligence, reducing violence, the future of government, language opportunities, clean water and air. We show the ability to create bold, audacious and actionable Pictures for these enormous opportunities, to demonstrate the concept works at every level of life, and with any situation or opportunity.

We explore our Perspectives, which are ways we view the world that significantly influence our dreams for our life and for the world.
Perspectives include Connection and Community (who do we include in our social connections and community of caring, and why?), Widening and Narrowing (are we expanding or narrowing ourselves over time, and why?), and  Moderation and Extremes (are we moderate or extreme in our beliefs, and why?).
Learning about our own personal Perspectives give us insights on the sources and motivations for our own Pictures, and creates better understanding with others when shared.

With our Pictures drawn and our Perspectives understood, a simple Process can confirm our path forward and our first steps of action toward the future of our truest dreams.

We address the need for Ideals.  Some examples we provide are Help (how much do we value giving and receiving help from others?),  Common Uniqueness (how much do we value our own unique individuality plus what we have in common with all people, versus how much we value our alignments with exclusive social groups?), and Love First (what is the opportunity for much of our global community to agree on Love First as an overarching spiritual ideal?).

We (Dave and Lee) truly believe that if we create clear Pictures of our desired Future on life issues and opportunities that matter most to us, and use them as a daily basis for action in our lives, then the world will become a better place faster, and we will be happier and more successful in living the life of our dreams.

Please join us in an entertaining and optimistic podcast series that will help you paint the Pictures of your dreams, and set you on the most meaningful journey of your lifetime!
